Voter Checklist

Voting can be complicated and confusing. That’s why we created this voter checklist, to answer common questions about voting and equip you with the tools you need to be a successful voter.

Are you 18 or older? Are you a U.S. citizen? You might be eligible to vote! Use our voter registration tool to start the process, then have your information copied to the Secretary to State website to finish registering.

Fill out the Pledge Card

By filling out our pledge card, you get a say in what we work on. Let us know what issues you care about, so we can start working with partners and community members to create and advocate for solutions.

Check your registration

Not sure if you’re registered to vote? Can’t remember if you updated your registration to a new name or address? Check your registration status here, then register or update your registration with our tool.

Same-Day Registration

Minnesota offers same-day voter registration, so you don’t need to be registered in advance to vote. Check out this guide to make sure you have what you need to register and vote at the same time.

Early Voting

Voting before Election Day is a great way to avoid lines and save time, as well as vote on your own schedule. Early voting can happen in person or by mail. Learn more and make your plan to early vote.

Read Our Voter Guide

We put together a voter guide to help young voters navigate their ballot. Learn more about what’s on your ballot, your candidates, and their values.

See a Sample Ballot

Voting isn’t always easy—there can be a lot of races that you may or may not have heard of. Learn more about the races that will be on your ballot and see a sample so you’re ready.

Find Your Polling Place

Knowing where to vote is just as important as registering to vote! Search for your polling place so you can vote early, vote on Election Day, or drop off your ballot.
